Why Choose Us
Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Preschool is an established learning community for children, families, and educators. Since 1976, PVUMC has offered an enriching and stimulating environment that views children as unique individuals. Children are valued for their curiosity, ability to discover, create, learn, problem solve, and develop critical skills. We provide children with meaningful, age-appropriate hands-on play that develops confidence and dignity.

Our school community acknowledges parents as the child’s first and most important teacher. Parents and teachers partner together to provide a supportive learning framework that incorporates traditions, morals, and dreams for their children.

Our preschool educators are valued for their vision, skills, knowledge, and delight in children. The highly-qualified and dedicated educators at PVUMC nurture the whole child in the areas of social-emotional, language, cognitive, creative, physical growth, and faith development

Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Preschool has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 1986. The NAEYC Academy, the only national accreditation program for preschools existing today, sets the standards of excellence in early childhood education. The Academy reviews our program each year and reaccreditation is completed every five years. PVUMC Preschool received reaccreditation for the eighth time in March 2015 making our school one of the longest running accredited preschools in the state of Arizona.

The ten components of the accreditation process are: relationships, curriculum, teaching, assessment of child progress, health, teachers, families, community relationships, physical environment, and leadership/management.

To validate the high quality of our program and show pride in our profession we proudly display our certificates of accreditation in the Preschool office.
